Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly series created by Rukky at Eternity Books and hosted by Aria at Book Nook Bits. The full list of January topics can be found here.
Hello everyone! The first week of 2023 is already behind us. How are we feeling? I’m currently reading one nonfiction book and one cozy mystery and loving both, so my reading is off to a great start so far.
This week I’m happy to have a chance to reflect on my reading thanks to this week’s Let’s Talk Bookish post: 2023 Reading and Blogging Goals.
Let’s get started!
What are your reading goals for 2023?
My reading goals are more or less the same each year: read what I want (not necessarily what everyone else is reading), squeeze in a few classics I’ve still yet to read, and to participate in at least one reading challenge.
Do you have a specific number of books, or particular genres, you want to read?
I’ve set my annual reading goal at 50 books once again this year.
What are your blogging goals for 2023?
My blogging goals are also going to be pretty consistent with last year: to post at least once a week, either a book review or book discussion post, and to participate in at least one book discussion post per month. By that I mean either Let’s Talk Bookish, Top Ten Tuesday, or any book tags that come up.
What do you want to do differently with blogging than you did last year?
One thing I plan to do less of is jumping on the bandwagon with what other bloggers are doing. I’ve gotten better at this over the years but still at times feel the need to do similar posts as everyone else even when the topic doesn’t fit my blog or come naturally to write about. While I do enjoy participating in the blogging community, I have to pick and choose what is right for me.
Good luck this year!
