About Me

Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Hannah and I love to read and talk about books. I live in Arizona with my husband and two feisty cats. I have a Masters in Library and Information Science and worked in public libraries for five years before switching to higher education. When I’m not working or reading, I love hiking, visiting museums, and checking out different libraries and bookstores.

About Hannah’s Library

I read a little bit of everything and post my book reviews here. I mostly read mystery and crime fiction but do enjoy the occasional romance. I don’t post reviews of every book I read, just the ones I find especially worthy of talking about.

I participate in book discussion posts such as Top Ten Tuesday, Let’s Talk Bookish, and The Classics Club. You can find those posts by searching the tags on my search box.

How I Rate Books

As of January 2024, I still leave books as unrated unless they are an undeniable five star read. The reason for this is that I know how much authors pour their heart and soul into their work and I generally find star ratings to be arbitrary. I don’t really pay attention to them when I choose what book to read next, but I respect those who take their star ratings very seriously!

Thank you for being here and following along on my reading journey!

  1. I completely agree with the idea that books can be magical. They have the power to transport us to different worlds, to introduce us to new ideas and perspectives, and to inspire us in so many ways. Reading can be a truly transformative experience, and the magic of books lies in their ability to spark our imagination and broaden our understanding of the world. It’s no wonder that books have always held a special place in our hearts and in our culture. Thank you for sharing this quote, it’s a reminder of the power and magic of books.
