Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is a Freebie so I am throwing it back to one I missed a few weeks ago: Anticipated Reads for 2023.
This topic is usually broken up into the first half of the year and the second half, but I’m including books releasing throughout the year for my list.
Here are some books I’m looking forward to, in publication date order…
- Throwback by Maurene Goo (April 11)
- Where are the Children Now? by Alafair Burke and Mary Higgins Clark (April 18)
- Deep Tide (The Texas Murder Files #3) by Laura Griffin (April 25)
- Famous for a Living by Melissa Ferguson (May 1)
- Summer Reading by Jenn McKinlay (May 16)
- Drowning by T.J. Newman (May 30)
- Flying Witch Volume 12 by Chihiro Ishizuka (June 1)
- The Last Lifeboat by Hazel Gaynor (June 1)
- The Shadow Girls (Natalie Lockhart #4) by Alice Blanchard (July 29)
- The Connellys of County Down by Tracey Lange (August 1)
- Kissing Kosher by Jean Meltzer (August 29)
- The Invisible Hour by Alice Hoffman (August 15)
- The Last Close Call by Laura Griffin (October TBD)
I’m sure I will come across more anticipated reads as publication dates are released but these are on my radar as of now.
I hope you’re able to get to all of these! Mine fell along the same lines, though in my case they’re more reward books for making progress on my TBR stack.

Where are the Children now? makes me want to go back and reread Where are the children. I wonder if it will be as good as the first…
