Review

Wedding Cake Crumble is book ten in the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series, and I had no idea I was already on book ten until I read the acknowledgments at the beginning of this book. I say this about every book in the series, but this one has to be my favorite cover by far. I also really love the cover, especially the design on the cupcakes and that gorgeous Arizona sunset in the background!

There was a lot to love about this book, as usual. The concept of the local bestselling author being a target was very intriguing. Once again, Jenn McKinlay perfectly describes every area of Scottsdale, from Old Town to the neighborhoods built in the 50s with all their funky architecture. As a local myself, I am always so pleased at the way she describes the area from that viewpoint.

This was a very fun, happy book in the series as we get to see some of the characters make some big changes in their lives. As much as I enjoyed seeing Angie and Tate tie the knot, I also loved how their friendship with Mel was solidified even more. I look forward to reading the next book in the series soon.
