Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Books I’d Want to Have While Stranded on a Deserted Island.
I have actually never thought about this before, so this was a fun list to make.
Here are some books I’d want to have with me if I were ever stranded on a desert island, in no particular order…
- A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
- Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
- The Hypnotist’s Love Story by Liane Moriarty
- Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon
- Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith
- Tracers series by Laura Griffin
- Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
- Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella
- Nikki Heat series by Richard Castle
- Natalie Lockhart series by Alice Blanchard
…maybe I’m cheating but I can’t pick one book out of a series! That would just be cruel 🙂
These are all books that I can/have read multiple times already and plan to read again in the future.
I’d want to read the Harry Potter books, the Anne Shirley books, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for sure!

This is a fun list! And we’ll just say you have an omnibus or box set of the series. That way you get all the books but they only take up one slot. 😉

Nice list! ANNE OF GREEN GABLES is on my list today as well, although I did twist the topic a little 🙂
Happy TTT!

I love the picture! I loved the Anne of Green Gables series as well…and Sophie Kinsella’s series is fun and light, which we would need on a desert island! I tried to go with lighter reads as well…here is my link: https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2021/07/ttt-stranded-on-desert-island.html
