Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Non-Bookish Hobbies.
I’m going to be honest – I definitely don’t have ten hobbies! So I’m switching it up to a Get to Know Me list instead.
Here are ten facts about me, in no particular order…
- I have a Master’s in Library and Information Science from University of Arizona, and a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Arizona State University.
- I’m currently working on my Certificate in Editing at University of Washington.
- I work in libraries, but hope to work in the publishing industry someday.
- I have two rescue cats and a dog.
- I am obsessed with the Bachelor franchise. It’s mindless entertainment, plus I love listening to the Here to Make Friends podcast after each episode!
- I have never been out of the country, but would love to visit Canada and Japan someday.
- I love road trips and dream of having an RV that I can take across the country.
- I listen to podcasts all the time, and one of my favorites is Stuff You Should Know.
- My favorite genres are thrillers, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction.
- Books are my absolute favorite thing in the world!
You sound like a pretty cool person. π

I’m just the opposite, I worked in publishing but keep thinking about going back to get my MLS to spend more time in libraries/with library programming. Arizona sounds so nice and warm compared to being here in the Midwest, we’ve already had snow twice this fall π₯

Thatβs so interesting! I started out wanting to work in publishing, then went the library route which I do love but I would like to explore other career paths. We are definitely getting into the mild weather here now which is great but itβs brutal from June-October! π

I went to ASU, too! I got a degree in Food and Nutrition Management. I didn’t realize UW had a certificate in Editing. That’s interesting. I might have to look into that, since it’s my local college. We’re big UW Women’s basketball fans.

What a coincidence! My friend actually majored in that same field at ASU too π I would highly recommend this program at UW! You can do it self paced or with a cohort, which Iβm doing so I can network a little! π

Really? I’m guessing I’m a lot older, so we probably weren’t in classes together.
That’s great to know!

Great TTT! I, too, have never been out of the country. My dad is from India and all of my cousins have been but I have yet to visit. I think it is so cool you work in libraries; they are my absolute favorite place on the planet. π₯°

Always love learning more about the person behind the blog. π Rescue pets are the best, aren’t they?
