Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Book Events/Festivals I’d Love To Go To Someday.
I’ll admit I’m not very up on the bookish events and festivals going on!
The only one I want to return to is the Tucson Festival of Books, which I have been to twice.
Tucson is less than a two hour drive from where I live, so it’s perfect for a day trip. The festival is very family-friendly and always held at my alma mater, University of Arizona. There are a wide array of authors speaking over the course of the festival (two days) and so many events to attend! The first time we went, we saw Jenna Fischer which was like a dream.
The best part is, it’s always in mid-March right around my birthday. Does it get any better than that?!
I was so sad that it got cancelled this year, but it was of course for very good reasons and I’m glad that they chose not to have it.
What are some book events or festivals you’ve got your eye on attending some day? Tell me about them in the comments or drop me a link to your Top Ten Tuesday post so I can check it out!
The Tucson Festival of Books does sound fun!

I didn’t know Tucson had a book festival, but it’s definitely a fun place to visit (especially when it’s winter in the Midwest…). Worth looking into when we’re able to travel and gather again.

I would definitely consider venturing out of state for other book festivals in the future! 😊

You must live somewhere close to me – I’m in Mesa. I’ve yet to go to the Tucson Book Festival, even though I live so close. I need to. My daughter is starting at U of A this year, so I’ll be visiting Tucson more often. I’ll have to go in March when things are back to normal.
Happy TTT!

Ahh, everyone’s getting me all hyped by the mere mention of festivals. I didn’t realize there were so many I’d never heard of! And the pandemic’s got me dying to go somewhere, anywhere, so I’m super keen! Hopefully next year you’re able to go to this one. It’s so awesome it’s so close to your birthday! Like a sweet little treat!
