Hello bookworms!

Have you heard of 1,000 Words of Summer?

It was created by author Jami Attenberg. Here’s the scoop:

“This a five-thousand strong community of writers of all levels who are all supporting each other to write 1,000 words a day for two weeks every summer since 2018. The 2020 session will be from May 29-June 11. All levels of writers are welcome.”

By signing up, you get access to an archive of writing advice along with daily emails throughout the event that encourage you to write.

I first heard about this even through Twitter. It instantly reminded me of NaNoWriMo, but the difference is that there are no set guidelines over what to write – it can be anything! There’s more on that in this post from the archives.

I love the idea of all of this, and I can’t wait to participate, starting in exactly one week.

Will you be joining in?

Have a great weekend everyone!
