Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topics is Titles That Would Make Good Band Names.

What an interesting topic idea!

Here’s some that I came up with, along with what I think the band genre would be…

  1. Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith. Metal.
  2. Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. Indie/Folk.
  3. Just Kids by Patti Smith. Punk/Rock.
  4. Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani. Alternative.
  5. Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell. Rock.
  6. Allegiant by Veronica Roth. Pop/Rock.
  7. Kids Like Us by Hilary Reyl. Pop/Rock.
  8. The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman. Rock.
  9. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. Indie.
  10. Mirage by Somaiya Daud. Pop/Alternative.

I thought this topic would be hard but it was actually pretty fun!

What are some book titles that you think would make good band names? Tell me in the comments or leave a link to your Top Ten Tuesday post so I can check it out!

  1. Some great picks here, especially ‘Lucia, Lucia’ and ‘The Subtle Knife!’ Several people have picked ‘Pumpkinheads’ as a possibility but I think it probably sounds too much like The Smashing Pumpkins (a terrible, over-rated band in my opinion, one of those groups like Green Day that makes me turn the radio off in a matter of secrets.) πŸ˜›
