The Sunday Post is a weekly meme  hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news both personal and blog-related, recap the past week, and share about what’s coming up for the next week.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week last week. It felt like it lasted about month, in my opinion. Anyone else feel that way?

Last Week

Personal: This was my first full week working from home. While I’m thankful to be able to have the job security to do this, it’s been difficult to maintain focus and motivation each day. I had to take many breaks to go outside and clear my head each day, and it’s surprising just how tiring working from home can be! At least I was able to get a good amount of reading done, and at the end of the week I found myself working on a collage for my reading journal and that was very relaxing.

Blog: Posts this week included a Genre Freebie for Top Ten Tuesday in which I discussed some of my favorite classic science fiction short stories, an update on my progress on the Ultimate Pop Sugar Reading Challenge, and a book review of the final Alice book.

This Week

Personal: This week I’ll still be working from home. I’m hoping my state goes into shelter-in-place for the sake of, well, everyone. In my opinion, it has been long overdue. Other than that, season four of Kim’s Convenience will be hitting Netflix, so that’s something to look forward to at least!

Blog: I’ll be posting two book reviews next week, one for Binti by Nnedi Okorafor and one for Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan. I enjoyed both of these books very much! I’ll also be posting for Top Ten Tuesday as this week’s topic sounds like a fun one: it’s all about qualities of a book lover!

I started reading Desert Heat by J.A. Jance and I think it’s safe to say I’ve found another series to obsess over!

Finally, cat photos anyone?

Wake me up in an hour…
Excuse me, I was sleeping there!
Naps are essential these days!
Guarding her penguins at all costs.

I think I’m seriously killing Gigi and Lola’s vibe by being home all the time now, but they’re just going to have to get used to it 🙂
