First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page. Copy the first few lines but donโ€™t give anything else about the book away just yet. Finally, reveal the book.

Here we go…

“On a small moon orbiting a large planet, in a small farmhouse in a small village, there was a box, and in this box was a feather.”

These lines come from none other than…

Mirage by Somayia Durad.

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on this amazing, magical book in a review soon.

Have you read Mirage yet? What did you think?

Have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚
