It has been quite a long fall hiatus hasn’t it? If you were checking back in during these last few weeks – thank you! – and the wait is over. I’m back in the swing of things and as of this week will officially be posting regularly once again.
While I was away, I was so engrossed in my classes, I honestly didn’t even realize how much time had passed. This semester I am taking cataloging, government information, and digital curation and preservation. I thought that taking a week or two to catch up would mean that I was, well, caught up, but no such luck. Isn’t it funny how the work just keeps coming and *gasp* sometimes gets harder as the semester wears on? 😉
At any rate, I have been doing a lot of recreational reading in my spare time which means lots of book review writing, too.
Here’s what I’ve been reading…
It Takes Two: Our Story by Jonathan and Drew Scott
Capital Gaines by Chip Gaines
Lethal White by Robert Galbraith
The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish
Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superatheletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen by Christopher McDougall
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Robert Hack
It’s no surprise that I’ve mostly been reading non-fiction as that tends to be the least distracting thing I can read during the week. Exception: Lethal White. 🙂 I’ll be posting the first of these book reviews later this week so stay tuned!
And before I go, I wanted to share this article you may or may not have already seen. Actress Mara Wilson revealed what she thinks our beloved Matilda would be up to now, on her 30th birthday, in Vanity Fair. Her likely career is spot-on, and makes me proud.
What About You?
What have you been up to since September? Tell me in the comments!
