November Favorites

Wow, November has been one of the busiest months for me this year by far! The time has crept up on me and with deadlines both personal and academic, the month has flown by. Unfortunately I didn’t get to post as many book reviews this month, so I hope I can make up for that next month. Thank you to new followers for joining along this month – it means so much to me! Below are some of my favorite things from November.

Thanksgiving Table

I was really proud of how our Thanksgiving table turned out! It was very uniform which is what I was going for, and the bright yellow flowers added in were the perfect touch.

Salted Caramel Blondie Brownies

I made these the day after Thanksgiving even though they were intended to be our Thanksgiving dessert (I ended up making the apple pie bites!) They came out really well and I like them even though I am not a huge fan of anything salted caramel.

My favorite beauty product this month was definitely this brow brush from ColourPop cosmetics. I’ve used it the most because it’s so easy and leaves my brows looking natural and not overly done-up.

And on the topic of Thanksgiving, my school hosted a discussion on some common misconceptions of Thanksgiving. I would recommend this quick read to everyone, even those who don’t live in the U.S. and don’t know much about Thanksgiving. There are so many misconceptions about the “holiday” and the three most common are explained here nicely.

A very cool rendering of Nymphadora Tonks on Pottermore. She was definitely (in my opinion) one of the coolest characters from the series and I wish we had gotten to see more of her!

Margaret Atwood on learning to type.

My favorite book from this month definitely had to be Where’d You Go Bernadette? Which was so funny and a captivating read, although if you recall I never rate books (!)

What were your highlights of this month? Lowlights? I made a huge dent in my final projects for this quarter, with still a long way to go, but progress is progress!

      1. Haha I seem to recall signing up on their website, and getting access to a dashboard of sorts where I could keep track of words per day and such. It’s not any easy feat especially in such a short time! Kudos for making the effort though, in the end i think it makes you a better writer nonetheless 🙂
