August Favorites

August Favorites

Summer is winding down, and pumpkin spice lattes are on the horizon! This past week I have been busy with my fall classes which started on Monday, and planning a birthday party for tomorrow (which I will post about more next week :))

For those of you who are new to Words for Everything, first of all thank you so much for joining! Each month I wrap up my monthly favorites and post them all here: books, music, products, fashion, articles, anything and everything. Without further ado, here are this month’s favorites!

August Playlist

August was a slow month for me in terms of music, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t able to find some great stuff to listen to! Thanks mostly in part to Taylor Swift who released the first single off her new album just yesterday. Do you love it? 🙂

What I’m Reading

Earth Awakens, by Orson Scott Card and The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.

What I’m Watching

Riverdale was my show to binge watch this month. I was hesitant to watch at first, as an avid reader of the Archie comics (!) but it was so good. I highly recommend watching it before season two premiers in October.

The Crown

Have you watched the new trailer for season two of The Crown? I fell in love with this show last winter, and I can’t wait for the new season!

Mickey Mouse Waffles

Does this really need an explanation?? We went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago and had Mickey Mouse waffles at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street. They were ah-mazing. More photos of our trip coming next week 🙂

August ipsy bag

I got my first ever ipsy  glam bag this month. Exciting! I was pleased with the bag itself, with the graduated sunset design and cute logo, and the five items inside: the Balm Voyage eye shadow, liquid coal eyeliner, Glamour Dolls brush, ipsy color corrector, and First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanser. I can’t wait to try everything out!

That’s it for this month’s favorites. How has your August been treating you? After the birthday party I’m hosting this weekend, I’m ready to move on to September, looking forward to Fall, and cooler weather (and maybe sweaters?) What are you up to? Reading anything good? Have a great weekend!

Past favorites: January, February, March, April, May, June and July 🙂
