Disneyland Favorites

There’s a reason Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth! On our recent trip to California we made a stop at Disneyland because Disneyland. Here are some of our favorite things about our favorite place:

The Disneyland 60th anniversary edition Snapchat filters are officially gone. Womp, womp. The Instagram story location tag had to suffice.

It’s always a treat to see the horses on Main Street. Not to mention the other animals that have made Disneyland their home. Every time we go there seems to always be a bunch of new ducklings wandering main street. You can spot them swimming in the waterways, giving you something sweet to watch while waiting in line for rides!

Sleeping Beauty’s castle is not only gorgeous to look at, but have you ever taken the tour inside the castle? You can walk all through the castle and “tour” the Sleeping Beauty story and see behind the scenes footage of the making of the film and fun props. Even though Sleeping Beauty isn’t quite my favorite movie, I love the classic Disney films so much and who doesn’t love a good behind-the-scenes?

Let’s be real, as excited as we always are for the rides the food at Disneyland is where it’s at. A stop at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney is a must, for cake pops and jelly beans. We also always make sure to get a pickle from critter country, and ice cream at the Gibson Girl Café. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth? Some of these treats are pricey, so we split everything we get. Not-so-fun fact: I left my jelly beans in the hotel and didn’t realize it until we were literally boarding the plane. Rats.

I love living so close to Disneyland (one hour by plane) because it makes me feel less guilty about going as much as I do 😉
