So it should be no surprise that the podcast I’m about to recommend is Limetown. It’s a fictional story that follows journalist Lia Haddock as she investigates Limetown, the site of a “doomed research facility” where over three hundred men, women and children disappeared ten years ago.
I don’t listen to many audiobooks, but I would imagine that listening to this podcast is similar to listening to a Stephen King book. Cue police sirens, reporters interrupted by screaming, slow creepy music, zombies banging their heads on windows, and possibly the worst: long periods of silence.
There are only two episodes up right now, but it’s a seven part series so there’s still time to catch up. I would not recommend listening to this one while you’re alone at the office as I made that mistake last week and I was constantly looking over my shoulder for the rest of my shift. And that, my friends, is how you know the story is good.
